 Grand Funk Website

Friends of mine from back in Flint, Michigan, Grand Funk Railroad were the first Platinum Record Band to use West amplifiers.  They are first, out of alphabetical order, because their logo moves !

My Buddy Randy Randall Aiken's amplifier headquarters. Home of Randall's very fine boutique line of amplifiers.  Also the home of the most extensive, and well read technical treatises on building and maintaining tube guitar amplifiers.  He uses our World's Best pots in his amps.

William A. Parrette's FANtastic, HUGE, Website!   Features the most complete Grand Funk site I have ever seen, in edition to a great deal of information on web programming etc.  I was especially amused by the page that purports to show the equipment that Grand Funk used on stage.  I don't believe they ever even saw an Avalon.  They used strictly Fillmores. And those are NOT 6L6s in the picture.  Be sure to use the arrows on the BOTTOM of Bill's page to travel through the different web rings !

 The Legendary Denny Preston !

Dennis Preston designed rock concert posters, album covers and band logos in the late 60's and early 70's. He's still around and still doing artwork.... check out his website.  A concert poster by Denny of the Plain Brown Wrapper is included in our museum.

This is a GREAT PLACE to buy professional music gear.

Vintage Guitar serves up the best stuff on collectible guitars and amps, as well as players from all eras who help make them great!

Dick Wagner was the first guitarist to ever play a West amp.  In fact he was instrumental in my starting to build amps in the first place.  The blue pilot lite is one of his many contributions.  Much more about Dick on the
History  page.
